About Esmeralda County Criminal History

Esmeralda County criminal records do not sit in one office. The Sheriff holds local incident, arrest, booking, detention, and warrant material. Justice Court and the Fifth Judicial District Clerk keep different court files. Nevada State Police RCCD maintains the Central Repository, while the Nevada Department of Corrections and Nevada Public Sex Offender Registry cover other record types. This private resource organizes those official routes so readers can identify the right custodian, portal, mailing address, or phone line.

Why We Built This Site

Nevada divides criminal-record access by both record type and custodian. In Esmeralda County, the Sheriff's Office keeps agency and detention records, while Esmeralda Township Justice Court and the Fifth Judicial District Clerk maintain separate stages of a criminal case. Nevada State Police, Records, Communications and Compliance Division holds the fingerprint-linked state Repository. Prison custody belongs to the Nevada Department of Corrections, and registry publication belongs to the Nevada Public Sex Offender Registry. We bring the verified request methods, contacts, fees, and search routes together without treating those distinct records as interchangeable.

What We Cannot Do

This is a privately operated reference site, not an office of Esmeralda County or the State of Nevada. It is not connected with the Sheriff, any court, Nevada State Police, or another government agency. Those limits mean:

  • We cannot issue a rap sheet, certified court file, arrest report, or other official record
  • We cannot submit a records request or Nevada sealing petition for a reader
  • We cannot run an official criminal-history check or access a restricted government system
  • We cannot give legal advice about a particular charge, case, or sealing question
  • We cannot promise that an agency's address, fee, hours, or process has not changed

An official copy must come from the office that keeps the source record, such as the Sheriff, the court clerk, or Nevada State Police RCCD.

Search Partners

Third-party providers operate the search boxes that appear on some pages. Each provider controls its own results, terms, and charges. If use of a tool results in a paid enrollment, we may receive a referral fee that supports free access to this resource. We neither set the provider's price nor decide what its results contain. Official Esmeralda County or Nevada records still must be obtained from the government custodian.
